Following the shocking and horrific revelation of several roads and school projects that are supposedly executed by contractors but could not be traced, President John Evans Atta Mills has ordered an urgent forensic audit of all district assemblies in the country. The President has insisted that since resources expended on those invisible projects were public fund, the people must know how such fund had been used and to what extent they impacted on their standard of living.

President John Evans Atta Mills have expressed misgivings about the use of foul language by politicians which incites people against one another.
In his quest to entrench the peace and democratic gains made by this country, the President has said the use of intemperate language had created bad blood and heightened fear and anxiety among the people.

H. E. President John Evans Atta Mills will be absent from Ghana from Tuesday 14th to Friday 17th July 2009 during which he will attend the XV Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non – Aligned Movement in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

The general debate will focus on the issue of international solidarity for peace and development and the current global economic and financial crisis.

Other activities there would include the election of the Bureau, the admission of new members and the presentation of the report on the VIX Non – Aligned Movement Summit.

During the absence of President J. E. A Mills from Ghana, H. E. Vice President John Dramani Mahama shall act as President of Ghana.
